crinkly kind of day. your eyebrows crinkle when you step outside. >> down right frigid and windy too. we'll tell you if it will warm up or get colder for thanksgiving. >> a big reward for the person who killed a u.s. postal worker. police still searching for a suspect as co-workers gather to remember their colleague. plus, mixed reaction to an historic agreement on iran's nuclear program. some calling this disagreement a historic mistake. good evening, if you've entered outside you probably wanted to turn back around and go inside much it was brutally cold. plenty of folks were in the mall today all bundled up. many tourists we talked to were surprised it was this cold this early in the season. guess what? we're in for an even colder night tonight. decided to get out in the elements herself, still feeling?

prince georges county. it broke out in an warehouse on ogden drive. the flames quickly spread to several other buildings and nearby trees. first responders had to work quickly to keep the flames from spreading. still no word on a cause. tonight the u.s. postal service community is coming together to remember a maryland mail carrier killed last night. 26-year-old tyson barnett was gunned down while delivering mail on his route. darcy spencer has been following this story since last night. she joins us live on this day a after the tragedy. >> reporter: the shooting happened down the street from where this happened. we now know what the name of the victim who died in that shooting last night, but we still don't know why he was killed. >> i feel for him. you know, it was just sad.

>> reporter: residents disheartened to learn tyson barnett what was the mailman shot and killed making rounds in chefrly. he lived in upp upper marlborouogh. >> he was a mailman, see his uniform on. >> reporter: police released few details, only he was killed just before 7:30 on reed street and was on duty. many post ol workers have been complaining they fear for their safety because they have to work aft after dark in neighborhoods that are unsafe. >> pretty sure he was working overtime for the holidays. it's shocking. >> reporter: this was not barnett's normal route. it's unclear why he was here so late but not unusual for a carrier to be out until 8:00 at

night. part of the problem, short staffing and late start times. >> the issue is letter couriers being out here late at night in landover in a high crime over. >> reporter: police have not released any information on a possible motive in the shooting, whether they consider the crime to be random or targeted or if it could be connected to a robbery. the co-workers are hoping the tragedy will bring about the change they've been demanding. >> the post office won't bring us in earlier and it's no concern for the carrier, only about the mail. >> reporter: there is a $100,000 reward for information to help solve this case. anyone convicted of killing a postal worker in the line of duty could face the death penalty. reporting live, darcy spencer, news 4. >> d.c. police are investigating two separate homicides tonight. first happened near the intersection of 14th street and saratoga in northeast d.c.

6:30 last night, police found two men with gunshot wounds. donald jones died at the hospital. the other person is listed in stable condition. this morning, police discovered a man found dead on galveston place in southwest. they were offering $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest in either case. mixed reaction tonight, less than 24 hours after president obama announced a nuclear deal with iran. several members of congress and u.s. allies have praised the agreement that will limit iran's nuclear activities while easing trade sanctions. israel and other middle east countries were quick to criticize the deal. today president obama called israeli prime minister netanyahu to reaform the united states commitment to the country. brian mooar has reaction from capitol hill. >> reporter: after striking a breakthrough deal to disarm iran's nuclear weapons program, secretary of state john kerry

sounded more cautious than optimistic. >> we're not sitting here pretending that iran is going to suddenly turn over a new leaf. we have to prove it. none of this is based on trust. it's not a question of trust. >> reporter: iran agrees to destroy highly enriched uranian that could be used for bombs but gets to keep its nuclear power facilities and gets a small measure of relief from the crippling krad sanctions that have hobled the economy. >> for first time in the decade we have halted the progress of the iran nuclear program. >> reporter: for the president it is a diplomatic coup. they are skeptical iran will keep its promises. >> we've trusted the iranians before and trusted koreans on nuclear issues. what have we gotten for it? >> we need to make sure we see this through and don't end up in a situation where they are a threat to the world.

>> reporter: israel's prime minister is denouncing the deal and insists it will be judge the by history as a mistake. president obama says the toughest sanctions will remain in place until iran follows through. on capitol hill, brian mooar, news 4. new complications for the u.s. military's presence in afgs. afghan president hamid karzai is refusing to sign a secretary pact to keep thousands of u.s. troops in the country after next year. the white house wants the deal finalized by the end of this year. karzai says he won't sign it until after the country's elections in april. without the agreement, the u.s. would have no legal basis to keep forces in the country to help train afghan troops. president obama kicking off a three-day fund raising trip to the midwest today, west coast. he's attending several events benefitting the democratic party. he'll attend a $20,000 a person of zumy's clothing change and

>> big turnout for a demolition in rio. crews destroyed part of a bridge that connects the city with the suburbs, part of revitalization efforts as rio prepares to host the 2016 olympic games. one of the projects under way to give the city a bit of a facelift before the summer games. we're getting ready for christmas, the capitol christmas tree is making its way to d.c., the 88-foot spruce is selected from a national park in washington state. today that tree made a stop at joint base andrews in prince georges county. it will be in a position 10:00. the season of giving is upon us

hospital. people in oklahoma got a half inch of snow and sleet this morning which coated the highways with ice. they are supposed to get another 4 to 8 inches of snow overnight and in dallas, the airport has precanceled as many as 300 flights because of wintry conditions. so amelia joins us now. this stuff, some of it is coming our way. the temperatures anyway. >> and rain as well. even the chance of a little bit of a wintry mix early tuesday and late during the day on wednesday. i'm going to go out on a limb and say if you plan on traveling tuesday or wednesday, this weather will not -- will impact those travel plans. you need to budget for extra time on tuesday or wednesday. it was a cold day and colder night shaping up. 20 degrees in washington, elsewhere generally in the mid to upper 20s, look at these lows, 23 frigid deg by the water will be in the low

20s, the good news about tonight, we're not dealing with wind. no matter which way you cut it, it is still very cold. that means a frigid start for monday morning. bundle up as you head back to work. throughout the day tomorrow, it will not be as windy as it was today. it's still going to be on the chilly side, 10:00 a.m., only at 30 degrees. 3:00 p.m., we hit 38. tomorrow evening skies become cloudy and during the evening hours temperatures in the mid-30s. as we look to tuesday and wednesday, look at the precipitation chances, 100% chance that you're dealing with rain tuesday and wednesday. before we get there though, of course the redskins taking on the 49ers tomorrow evening. kickoff around 8:30. if you're going to the game, bundle up. cold and cloudy, temperatures for the game will be in the mid-30s. now, let's talk about tuesday. we start off right around freezing and tha issue with some freezing rain tuesday morning. a high temperature on tuesday of

nothing like a little pregame drama off the field. some denials too. >> what they need is a tomorrow night against san francisco. the redskins will play monday night against the 49ers and they are in desperate need of a victory. when you're losing, all of the news seems to be bad news. like today, for instance, a report from nfl network claims robert griffin iii asked coaches to not show negative plays during film review. the head coach wasn't too thrilled about this story telling news 4 sports, it's a false report. now according to nfl network, when griffin was at baylor, his negative plays were removed from the video board. numerous players backed shanahan saying they were unaware of such claims. elsewhere on thanksgiving night theteelerill take on ravens here on nbc 4.match-up takes place, pittsburgh had to get by

visiting the browns, we're tied in the second quarter, ben roethlisberger, going to go up top to antonio brown, a 41 yard touchdown strike, the steelers take a 10-3 lead. later on, former red skin jason camp bell gets drilled and will allen scoops up that football and going to take it down to the browns 4 yard line. a 49 yard return. campbell, he was injured on that play, did not return to the game. meanwhile, very next play, big ben, quick strike to emanuel sanders, pittsburgh goes on to victory, 27-11. it was a wild one in kansas city, the 9-1 chiefs hosting the chargers. fourth quarter san diego down four. fill ip rivers finds la darius green and he does the rest.
